The official Community Flag of Bronzeville - Columbus, Ohio

    Flag of Bronzeville

Commissioned in 2019 by the President of the Bronzeville Neighborhood Association Willis Brown. Columbus Historian Rita Fuller-Yates set forth a design concept reflective of the community and all that it stands for. Mrs. Fuller-Yates along with her Husband Shawn Yates received final approval of the design on March 6th, 2020.

*** Bronzeville Neighborhood is the first black community in the United States, with a flag of their own. You can purchase your flag on the Bronzeville Neighborhood Association website.

The colors within the flag have specific meaning:

Black - for the people of Bronzeville

Bronze- for the strength and endurance of the Community

Green- for the richness and resources within the community

White- for the peacefulness within Bronzeville

Red- for the heart and soul or Bronzeville
